I have installed Ignite UI 2013.1 (with latest updates). I believe it comes with JQuery 1.7 or 1.8, I am planning to download JQuery UI 1.10.3 custom (which has jquery-1.9.1.js and jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.js files) as it now allows to close tab without plugins.
My question is will there be any issues with other Ignite UI controls if I download latest JQuery version?
In my experience, going beyond jQuery 1.8 breaks the Infragistics Ignite 2013.1 controls. I would suggest you stick to jQuery 1.7 or 1.8 if you wish to avoid a slew of headaches.
Thank you Abromfield for your reply. I am not sure if you are from Infragistics team, if not please ignore next question.
What is the frequency that Ignite UI will be keeping upto date with JQuery releases?
Hello,
Thank you for writing in our forums! We support these versions with Ignite UI 2013.1. You can find more detailed information about the supported versions here. If you experience any kind of issues after the upgrade you can contact the Developers Support team or write in the forums and we will do everything we can in order to resolve it.
And about the second question when a new versions of jQuery and jQuery UI are released we test it very carefully and fix the issues as soon as possible if there is any.
Kind regards, Petko Zhekov Software Engineer
