Hi,
I have a valid license for 2018.2, and have installed it before. I uninstalled it from the Control Panel, since my project wasn't compiling.
But when I try to install it again, I'm getting the following error: There was an error validating the key: {0} System.ArgumentNullException.
I'm presuming the uninstall was not clean. How can I wipe out all traces of Infragistics, and make a fresh start?

Are you using the Platform Installer (Infragistics_DevTools_20182.exe) for the installation?
If so, can you please send me the IGPlatformInstall.log file which is automatically created inside the "Log Files" folder? It contains information about the installation, so I can investigate what went wrong. Please archive it and attach it here.

Here is the log. Since I needed to start working, I have installed the trial version, and that has made the log bigger than it should be.
I had issues compiling my project with Infragistics, whereas my colleagues were able to checkout and build without any other changes. So, I have been trying multiple installs and un-installs. Maybe that left my system in an unstable state.

Thank you for providing the log file.
Can you please delete everything in your temp folder and run the installation again entering your product key?
If this doesn't help, can you check if you have the needed access to write/read to the temp folder? If the user you are using is not admin, you may not have the necessary permissions. So, please trying running the installation as an administrator.
Thank you, Vasil! That helped. I cleaned out the Temp folder, and was able to apply the license key.
But I'm still having issues in opening the designer for a form; I'm unable to add controls. Also when executed, the form shows an 'Unlicensed trial' banner, or gives the following error.
What else am I doing wrong?

When I changed the 'Specific Version' of the references to False, that did not help. But when my teammate made that change, and I pulled it in, I'm able to edit the designer! And he also checked-in his licenses file; maybe that helped too??

I am glad to hear that things are getting better.
In order to investigate the issue with the designer I will need some additional information, like Infragistics products and versions installed on the machine, version of Visual Studio that you are using, OS version. It would be nice if you can provide a sample with the issue, so I can try to reproduce and investigate it on my side.
The references were pointing to the installation folder. So, no changes needed on that front.
I just cleaned, rebuilt, but that didn't help either. Re-installed Infragistics, and repaired it; that fixed it. Thanks for your help!
I did not update to the service releases, but kept the version that came with the project, and was able to execute it. Everything is working, except I cannot make changes to the form in the designer. No idea why.
