Hello,
I have downloaded the sample. I am trying to somehow consume the data I have in an Excel sheet. Is it possible with the 30day trial version. How is it getting the data from right now ?
Also, Will I be able to feed th data to the XamWebpivotGrid by using Oracle BI. We are not using SQL server Analysis Service but Oracle BI can export XMLA based data.
is there any diagram of the recommended architcture.
Thanks.
Did you try to connect to XMLA provider?
Thanks,George
Is there any documentation available I could look at ?
Documentation will be available with the release.
There will be some blogs before it, which you can use as a reference.
It should be ready in 3 months period.
But you are already selling this software. What does exactly this release mean ?
Hi Len,
In the samples of the just released product for Data Visualization there is a sample of how to visualize Excel data in PivotGrid control.
Is this satisfying your requirements?
As an excuse about your confusion I would like to help you with your product.
Could you send some sample data and use cases you are planning to implement and with the RTM version you will receive an example how you can use our PivotGrid.
Len:
The pivot grid control is still on track to RTM this summer. If you've recently bought a subscription to the Silverlight Data Visualization product, you will receive the RTM control when it is released as part of your subscription (subscriptions a good for 1 year).
Our current plan is to ship two different data providers in our first release, one for use with XMLA data sources and one for use with flat data sources. While I beleive it will be possible to build your own custom data provider in our first release, its not been a primary scenario for us. It will be something we look to enhance moving forward.
If you are interested in accessing early builds of the control, email me: devinr@infragistics.com

Hi Devin.
On your main webpage, you state that the web PIvotGrid is now available as part of the Silverlight data visualization package, but here in this post you say that it won't be available until summer sometime. We just purchased this product now with the expectation that we have this Pivot Grid. Did the timelines changes so that this is now included?
We are also under the assumption that we can use it to access our own data objects as per this post:

I cannot find any documentation or samples for the web Pivot Grid on your site. Can you please specify where to find this?
Thanks,
Len
Our test analysis services is on Windows 2003 server with IIS 7. IIS is just the host for the dll, so there is no reason to not work.
