While I find the AppStylist utility very useful from a designer's standpoint, I am not clear as I'd like to be about how best to integrate it correctly with my VStudio projects. Yes I know how to use the Add-In, how to import the Style Sets into VStudio and how to apply to my controls but I need to know what files Infragistics is copying around when I import Style Sets, what the implications are for projects in source control, if there are easier, more straight-forward ways to skin a VStudio project etc. Mainly - I'd like a guide from Infragistics that explains the entire story of a Style Set - from creation/design, to project integration, to server deployment - so I know I'm following the best practices.
I'm hoping there's already a guide/video in existence to answer my questions - but I don't have the time to hunt for it through the forums/etc. Could someone please post a link to it - or if it doesn't exist, create something?
========================BTW - here's my dream table of contents if I was authoring the guide myself:
1.) Creating new Style Set in AppStylist for VStudio project - The Dos and Don'ts
2.) How to export the new Style Set and integrate it with VStudio project
3.) How to keep Style Set files and folder neat in VStudio project - Ideally would be nice to shove CSS and IMAGES where *I* want, not where AppStylist wants
4.) Things to be aware of when working with an AppStylist skinned VStudio project in Source Control

Thanks

Is there an update for this for 2012.1? It does not come with the Visual Studio Project Template
This video refers to an obsolete version of NetAdvantage (2007 volume 1). It starts off talking about an "install directory", but doesn't say where that is. I am using the most recent version (2009 volume 2), and I don't have an install directory. And after installing the product, I don't see any Infragistics templates when I create a new project. And on and on it goes. Please take this video down -- it just adds to the frustration of trying to get this thing to work.
Where is there a "getting started" for the software you are actually shipping?
Hello Chris,
I'd recommend you take a look at the following "Getting Started" video on Application styling. This will give you a good overview of how to create styles and apply them to your ASP.NET project.
