I set the appointment duration manually to one day and was able to reproduce this in 14.1. However, back in version 14.2 we have fixed this. I tested this with 14.2 and later version and was not able to reproduce it. Due the fact that the 14.1 version was drop from the supported versions, I can strongly suggest you to upgrade your project to later version of Infragistics where this issue is already fixed.

I think the user is manually changing duration to ‘1 day’
Following the steps, you suggested, I was not able to reproduce the behavior you are describing. Attached is a video I recorded during my test as well as the sample project I was using. Please check the video and let me know if I miss some steps.
