I need to write an application that allows the user to create his own screen design.

I picture something similar to Visual Studios WinForm designer.  It would allow the user to select a field from a list of fields and then drag it onto a design surface and drop it wherever he wants it.  When he is done the program would save information concerning the fields and their location on the screen.  This information would be used to create WebForms in another application.

The design application would be written using WinForms, or WPF, unless there is a SilverLight solution for doing it.

Are there any Infragistics controls that I can use to simplify the design application.

Thanks,

Andy

    Hi Andy,

I learned from Product Mangement that, while we do not have a control to perform thsi fucntion,  its possible to host the Winforms design surface in an application, but if you want to use Infragistics controls on it, you need to contact Sales as this requires a OEM license from us.

The cider design surface (WPF/SL) is not hostable.

    I hope this helps.
