Cannot read property 'destroy' of undefined

Basically copied the stackblitz code over to my angular project after following the get started instructions for an existing Angular project. I get the error Cannot read property ‘destroy’ of undefined and the template doesn’t load correctly.
Angular 6.0.2
Igniteui-Angular ^6.0.0
