Hi

what is igxPreventDocumentScroll  grid directive?

Why can’t I find it in the documentation?

In exaples, I have not noticed any difference with or without it

    Hello Pablo,

Thank you for contacting Infragistics Community!

The igxPreventDocumentScroll directive has been created in order to resolve the following issue opened in the IgniteUI for Angular Samples Repository. Its purpose is to prevent the document scrolling when, for example, the bottom of the grid is reached while scrolling over it and the user continues to scroll down. Please take a look at the following sample I have prepared for you.

P.S. If running the sample in Google Chrome you won’t notice any difference because of its default behavior. That’s why I suggest opening the attached sample in Mozilla Firefox.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you for using Infragistics Components.

    Best Regards,

From what I’ve seen, igxPreventDocumentScroll is an internal or less-publicized directive used in some Ignite UI grid examples to prevent the main page from scrolling while interacting with certain grid components. That’s probably why it’s not clearly documented or commonly needed in most setups. I usually keep track of smaller dev utilities and troubleshooting resources through platforms like Developer Tools, while logic focused helpers such as Puzzle Strategy Systems and Pattern Solution Guides are useful for organizing complex workflows and problem solving ideas.

It’s an internal Ignite UI directive, so that’s why it isn’t documented. If you don’t notice any difference without it, you can safely leave it out unless you’re dealing with specific scrolling issues. EPL Feedback
