"License Information for this component not found" message for some controls like ssoption,sscheck,ssactivetoolbars..etc

Hi,

One of our application is developed with VB6.0 and uses the controls ssoption,sscheck,ssframe,ssribbon,sspanel,ssactivetoolbars.

When I have opened the .VBP file one day it suddenly giving issues.

The vb forms which are using these controls  are giving the error “Erros during Load.  Refer to C:\Documents and Settings\379493\Desktop\………(application name)\ Factiveusers.log” when opened.

The file has the entry like “Line 45: Cannot load control cmdMove; license not found”.

With this we are unable to debug the code or unable to make an executable out of this code.

Also when tried to use these controls on any form it is giving the error “License Information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design time environment”

Request you to please help solving this issue.

What changed on your machine before this stopped working?  Was there anything installed or uninstalled? 

As long as you have the toolsets containing the controls installed you shouldn't get licensing errors.

Thank you very much for responding.

As far as I remember I have not installed or uninstalled anything related with the controls and I am not sure if I have did it unknowingly.

I am suddenly facing this issue, I tried unregistering and registering the ocx files IGThreed40.ocx and IGToolBars50.ocx files and that couldn't help.

Please suggest me what should I do to get this resolved.

Hi Alan,

I am new to this and I don't know who have developed this vb code, hence I am not aware of these controls.

When the code started giving the issues I got to know that these controls are causing the problem and these are not the regular controls provided by vb6.0 and these are  third party controls.

Also, if there is any setup needs to be installed to make these controls work then can you please let me know from where can I get that setup ?

Balajirao,

You need to install the toolset to get the licensing for the controls.  You can find what toolset you need by looking at the retired products pdf and comparing the list of assemblies to what you need.

As far as access to the installer, this is available from the My Keys and Downloads page once you have registered a license for the toolset.  If you need to purchase a license, this can be done from one of our resellers.

I found the CD but I have lost the CD case in which the license key was written, so now I am able to install only trial version.

How can I get the license key? As I have lost the CD case 🙁

If the license doesn't show on the My Keys and Downloads page, then you will need to reach out to registrations@infragistics.com and they will be able to help you with finding your license.

I got the CD key in one of our Archived emails and My Problem got resolved.

I am struggling since few months as I am not aware of the fact that our application uses Infragistic tools.

I was able to find it after a lot of R&D and found the software and the license key.

You have helped me to know that the Infragistcs Toolset has to be installed on the machine to make the controls work and from then onwards I got into the right track and finally my problem got solved.
