XamDatagrid: make column visible – header creates second row

Hi,

in a XamDatagrid I allow the user to make columns visible or hide them. The first image shows the standard view: All column headers are in one row. When I set another column to visible the new header jumps into a second row – see image below.

Which constraint or setting could cause this?

Thanks

Niko

    Hello Nikolaus.

Thank you for posting to Infragistics Community!

The fact that there is a second level of headers kind of looks like a field layout containing field groups, doesn’t it?

To be able to effectively assist you, we will need at least reproducible sample code. Could you please share an isolated code-snippet of the current XamDataGrid configuration? Ideally, please create a runnable sample demonstrating the behavior. For your convenience, I am attaching such an app containing a XamDataGrid with several fields and a field group, where fields can be hidden or displayed via the field chooser. For starters, please perform the steps in this sample to test whether the observed occurs there as well. If not, do try to modify it with the relevant code and send it back to me. Any other details you find relevant will also be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

I am currently working with KI to isolate the problem, but was not successful so far.

btw: The fact, that all old postings are not searchable any more and that links on Google etc. lead to dead links is simply a 100% horror.

    a) This WPF lib does not seem to have a high profile at Infragistics – understood the future of WPF is unclear

    b) The questions are very similar this year as they were +10 years ago.

Whoever made this decission to not migrate the old postings to new forum system is not interessted at all in support.

    Niko
