Introduction to jQuery Mobile – Slides and Demos [Infragistics] Aaron Marisi / Wednesday, May 30, 2012 Recently, I had the opportunity to speak about jQuery Mobile at both the NJDOTNET User Group and Philly.NET Code Camp. These two organizations do a great job supporting the developer community in the NJ/PA area and I had a blast with both groups. Whether you attended my talk or are just starting with jQuery Mobile development, you can download the presentation material here. The zip contains: The Slides jQuery Mobile Page Demo – Demonstrates the fundamentals of jQuery Mobile pages and navigation. I’ve added notes to the demo itself to make it more self-explanatory (and to answer some questions I got during the talk). Tasks Sample Application – this is the application sample I used to demonstrate the use of jQuery Mobile in an application. It’s a basic task/to-do item app that is easier to follow if you are just getting started. The demos are ASP.NET web sites. However, the code is all HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so you can host them on other server platforms. The talk focuses on the fundamentals of the jQuery Mobile framework, but if you are looking for more, the Infragistics team built some awesome mobile controls and a fantastic iOS theme that you can leverage in your own applications. Check out the NetAdvantage for jQuery Mobile Samples for details and download a trial to start coding. Also, my colleagues Brent Schooley and Nick Landry posted their Philly Code Camp talks as well: Philly Code Camp 2012 Event Follow-up: Metro Design Fundamentals Adding Location Intelligence to Your Windows Phone Apps with Bing Maps Finally, please leave a comment or contact me on twitter to continue the discussion.
