While most URLs in these forum posts do function as clickable links, some do not.
This is an attempt to figure out why? I'm guessing that if I compose an entire post using Notepad, and then copy/paste the whole thing into a "Write a New Post" window's Message text editor, it will fail to recognize the URL and make it linkable.
I have composed this post in that manner. If by the time you read this, the following URL isn't linked, then my theory is correct.

And if the above URL is click-able, then it's your turn to try and figure it out. For an example of an un-click-able link, open the above URL.
OK, that didn't work.
Here's attempt 2: I'm copy/pasting several paragraphs, including a click-able link from an existing post to a new one.
If by the time you read this, the following URL isn't linked, then my theory is correct.
Yes, I finally figured it out. I believe this is an issue in the HTML Rich Text editor Community Server is using. If you are using IE, everything with links is fine (copy / paste link creates a link), the link tool from the toolbar works.
None of this works for FireFox.
So, we will either need to change the HTML Editor (by default an open source one) with out own - and this is by the way not a bad idea, I have always thought that providers for our HTML Editors for Community Server, DNN, Sharepoint, etc is a good idea.
Or
Use IE while linking, which should be the short term solution I guess.
