The only things they get you are bragging rights, and some slight recognition. Because I am one of the most active non-employees in the WebGrid forum, some of the Infragistics staff/managers know me by name. It doesn't hurt.
What are they redemable for if anything?

You get 5 points for each post, with another 15 if somebody else replies. And if somebody awards you stars, you get more points, but I'm not sure how many, because that's not often done.
