Hi all,
We are looking to buy a licence of NetAdvantge for WinClient. In our trial, we used the product from this page: http://ko.infragistics.com/dotnet/netadvantage/winformsdownloads.aspx but after some searching we also found that ComponentSource is selling what we think is almost a similar package, the NetAdvantage Select, from this page: http://www.componentsource.com/products/infragistics-netadvantage-select/index.html. We will be needing only the Windows Forms controls for now, but we'd like to know the difference between the two packages, specifically the available WinForms controls.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the informative and prompt response. As of now we are only developing client applications, though in the future we see us doing more web development over client development. Most probably we will get the NetAdvantage Select package so that we can acquire the web components.
I am exploring the products on behalf of our development team.
Again, thank you for the reply.
Best regards,
Mark RG Itol
Hello Midol - Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes, the WindowsForms tools are in both NetAdvantage WinClient and NetAdvantage Select. Both are the same price and you may place your purchase directly with us or through Component Source.
To clarify, the WinClient package includes the WindowsForms and WPF tools, while the Select package has the WindowsForms and ASP.NET tools. If you are doing purely rich client work, I recommend you go with the WinClient package so you will have the WPF tools if/when you move to that platform.
Midol, are you exploring our product for youself or on behalf of a team? What company do you work for?
- Debbie
