After upgrading from 2015.1 I get this error now:
An exception of type 'System.TypeAccessException' occurred in App_Web_jzwdbamf.dll but was not handled in user code
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.TypeAccessException: Attempt by security transparent method 'Infragistics.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelperExtensions.Infragistics(System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper`1<!!0>)' to access security critical type 'System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper`1<TModel>' failed.Assembly 'Infragistics.Web.Mvc, Version=3.15.2.1027, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7dd5c3163f2cd0cb' is marked with the AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute, and uses the level 2 security transparency model. Level 2 transparency causes all methods in AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers assemblies to become security transparent by default, which may be the cause of this exception.Source Error:

The Upgrade wizard seems to have made the upgraded reference point to the MVC3 version of the infragistics controls. Change the reference to the MVC5 version and the error went away.
Error happens with Upgrade wizard for 2016.1 also. Thanks for your suggestion, replacing the Infragistics.Web.Mvc.dll with the correct version fixes this problem.
