Hi,
I have a bar chart with >1000 data points. When zoomed out, this data renders poorly. See image link below:
bar chart
There are two issues that might be related:
First of all, there is white space between the bars. I have already set gap to zero and made the outline of each bar the same color as the bar itself. When zoomed in they show correctly with no gaps but when zoomed out the gaps appear.
Secondly, when the data gets scrunched together like this I no longer see the peaks in the data. There are some bars with much higher values than what you see rendered, and you can't find those peaks unless you know where to zoom in. I would like all the bars to simply paint on top of each other, or if some are dropped at least drop the smaller ones so the spikes are still visible. As it is, the graph is inaccurate as it does not show the true range of values present.
Any help on how I might correct this?Thanks,-David
Hello David,
Thank you for posting to our forum!
To understand the issue better can you provide me some more information including:
1)How did you instantiated the chart?
2)How did you set white space gap to zero?
3)Which version of Infragistics control you are using?
4)Can you provide me a small isolated sample with the steps to reproduce the issue.
Please note in your second issue the requirement of dropping the small bar would be new product idea and for rest of the part I would require a sample to get the same behavior at our end.
Looking forward to hearing you back.
