I have so far developed my solution for Silverlight using the excellent XamDataChart. I have recently come across the new igChart for jQuery and am really impressed with the performance and ease of use.
I am very seriously thinking about moving from Silverlight to javascript so I can support mobile devices (mainly iPad). I do currently have a working prototype for my application in Silverlight that I would plan porting to Javascript. If possible, I would not want to maintain/release my application on both platforms. It would be great if I could use the Javascript Charts right from the start.
The CTP does pretty well, but I am looking forward to some of the features promised for the 2012.1 release, especially ScatterLineSeries, Touch UI Support and the Metro-Theming.
When can the 2012.1 release be expected? Is there any chance you can give interested customers a release preview version to play with the new features before the release?
This sample contains a scatterline example:

And if you are interested in scatterline, you may also be interested in the categoryDateTimeXAxis for use with line series, which is also now available.
