Hi there,
I have many interactions in my prototype, but when I add annotations it displays on all the interactions within that particular screen.
I don't want that as my interaction states can be different size screens and elements shift from one to another, hence the annotations numbers no longer match from one screen to another.
How do I annotate on a per interaction state basis, not per screen basis?
thanks
Val
Thanks Ambrose. George's post on repeaters did the trick.
Hi again, Val. :)
Have you run across George's blog on repeaters? Or our help topic on them?
If those don't help, can you give me an example of the problem you are facing?
Hi Ambrose,
Thanks for your response. I didn't realise the comments / positions of numbers will change when edited on state level screens. That solves my problem, so no vote from me, great as it is :)
Having said that, I am not sure of the role of repeaters and what elements can remain the same (eg template / global element) vs normal elements that change on a state level?
Hi Val,
You can just change or remove the annotations at later states. We are considering changing annotations to be automatically state specific. Should I consider this question as a vote for that from you? :)
The benefit in how it is now is for when your notes are still applicable across states--you don't have to manually replicate them or only have them show up on one particular state--which can make the annotation harder to find for reviewers or more of a pain for you to manage if that is your situation.
