DataBinding Time is almost 4 min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I need to fetch almost 10,000 records and when i do this the time taken for these records to bind to the grid is almost 4 min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...which is very high ..... wat can i do to make this operation faster ...... Thanks in advance ............

    How long does it take to run the query you're using (from a remote computer) in the SQL Server Management Studio?

    At the top of this page is a Search function.  If you search for "slow performance" in the WebGrid forum, you'll find about 6 relevant posts.

    And if you post your markup and your code, somebody might spot something.  Show us enough to see exactly how and when you are doing your databinding.
