AJAX enabled grid

Hi What exactly is AJAX enabled grid ...how do we achieve this ....I have a webservice which returns a dataset filled with XML ...now how shall i load this onto my grid using AJAX .... i have huge amount of data ...around 10000 records ..... i want to try this enabling AJAX ... do we need to use attribute [Ajax.AjaxMethod()] and call the client side script asynchrounsly ????? Please help ...its urgent Thanks in Advance

I don't know for sure, but since you said "urgent", I'll shoot from the hip: I believe the Grid.DisplayLayout.LoadOnDemand property may do what you need. It's explained in the Online Docs (http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/NET/2008.2/CLR2.0/) on this page. (The first link requeres you to do a lot of navigation, the second is the frame contents you'll eventually find if you use the first link.)
