Hey Guys,
It seems that every time i move around my grid it looks like its re-loading the grids images(as in explorer i can see it saying loading images 1/19 etc) causing a delay when moving from one cell to another, im guessing this an postback occuring or something. Any ideas, its very annoying.

Hello Ben,
Most probably you have explicitly disabled your browser caching functionality. Unforutnately when this happens, the browser tries to reload all resources on the page (images included) again for each change and this is one likely reason for this to happen.
Another thing that comes into my mind when IE is mentioned is that this could be related to the image flickering problem IE has that is discussed (and some suggestions proposed) in this forum thread:
