or is it just fixed to horizontally? I've looked through the properties, and also at the online examples, and it looks like it's only capable of rendering horizontally...

Murtaza, we ended up using the WebTab control and just doing the layout horizontal... but thanks for the alternate suggestions!

That is correct, it only supports horizontal orientation.
If you are just interested in displaying items in toolbars, you can use the WebDataMenu that can show items vertically.
