Shape files for US Map

Hi!

I have a requirement to show United States map in XamWebMap control. I am a beginner to Infragistics controls. I had gone through the documentation of XamWebMap and I understand that for creating US Map, I need to have the shape files of the US Map in the Client bin folder. But my question is that where can I get these shape files so that I can copy them to the Client bin. Please help me.

    Also you can download free shapefiles from Internet. Check this site for example: http://www.vdstech.com/map_data.htm

     

    I think that this is exactly what you need: http://www.vdstech.com/mapdata/usstates.zip

    Hi Usha,

    You can get the shapefiles from the Samples folder installed with NetAdvantage DataVisualization Samples. Go to StartMenu\ Infragistics folder and then use the following path to locate the files:

    Silverlight Data Visualization-->Samples-->Samples source code--> SamplesBrowser-->SamplesBrowser.Web.DV-->ClientBin-->Shapefiles
