We've noticed that a webgrid with around 1000+ items really starts to slow down with IE 8 but hasn't really been affected on IE 7. This seems to be a problem both on load and on mouse over. Can you confirm that if we upgrade to a later version that you've addressed this issue?
and if so is the upgrade path to 2009 going to be a problem. Or can we just upgrade to the latestest 2008 patches?
jackfranks,
This sounds like you're likely encountering a more-specific issue than the one discussed earlier in this thread.
I recommend that you submit a support request and provide as much detail as possible regarding your sencario. The most useful thing to include would be a sample project that we can run and debug. A Developer Support Engineer will then research your issue and work with you to identify a resolution.
I have the exact same problem.
I am using version 9.2.20092.1003

there is a message there "Note: We've recently released 2009 Vol. 2 of our Windows Forms and WPF controls. When downloading a packagethat also includes ASP.NET or Silverlight controls, please be aware that these controls are currently in their 2009Vol. 1 release." which makes me think that there weren't any changes to asp.net... either way i'll give it a shot
