Parent Item To Sub Menu (Island) Spacing
posted

When a menu is in it's dropped down state, there is a small gap between the top edge of the sub menu (island) and the parent menu item. I want to blend the parent item with the sub menu so I need to close that gap. Can anyone tell me what I need to change? Many TIA.

    Hi smatthews1,

It has been a while since your post, however in case you still need assistance I would be glad to help.

There should be no actual space between the menu and the submenus, however such a visual appearance may be caused by the used default border styles and coloring. For your particular implementation I would suggest that you set the BorderColor and BorderStyle properties of the menu as well as the IslandStyle.BorderStyle and IslandStyle.BorderColor properties in order to create a blending feel for your menu.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,
