Hi, I just created a personal account not to long ago. I use you guys controls at work for the last two years. Now I am interested in using you guys controls etc.... for my personal now. But before I really start want to do some research.
My goal is to create a social network website similiar to facebook, twitter etc......
Question 1: Do you recommend using infragistics controls if so why,
Question 2: Do you know of any social networking site thats using you infragistics controls today, if so can you list sites. I want to see how well infragistics perform when it comes to social networking sites and how many people nows and days are using.
With out of shadow of doubt, alot of business are using you guys controls in the commercial world etc...
Question 3. If you were creating a social networking site using infragistics controls, would you silverlight, asp, or light switch infragistics controls?
Hello,
We would definitely recommend using our controls because regardelss of the platform choice or development experience, you do get a full set of navigational, editing, data visualization and high performance grid in all of our suite of controls.
I am not sure if any of the social networking sites themselves use our product, but you can build clients against those social networks using our tools. Here are a few examples of our in-house guidance on using our tools to connect to social media services:

We leave up to you to decide the platform of your choice to build a social networking applications. If it is a rich client app, then you can using Windows Forms, WPF, SilverLight and LightSwitch. If you are looking for a web based application, then you can use ASP.NET, jQuery (w/ ASP.NET MVC), SilverLight.
Hope this helps. You can also reach me directly at murtazaa@infragistics.com.
