If I add too many elements the XamMap becomes slow and almost unusable. I tried using points instead of surface elements, but it didn't make a difference. I would like to be able to load at least 50,000 elements. They don't need to be clickable or interactive in any way. The reason is that I would like to color the elements differently depending on their attributes. So, you could zoom out and see clusters of a color in one area, then be able to zoom into that area. I have no problem with it taking a long time to load all of those elements every time you zoom or pan. But, zooming and panning is almost impossible because the map is so unresponsive. Is there some feature or property I could turn off or on to allow the map to still be usable with a lot of elements?
Hi RVassar,As this forum post reply suggests, in case the VisibleFromScale property adjustment cannot be applied to your scenario, you can try to set XamMap's WindowAnimationMode to MapWindowAnimationMode.None and symbol elements' IsClickable and IsSensitive properties to false.Hope this helps,Milana Zhileva
Having all of the points on map disappear when zoomed out will destroy the entire purpose of the map. You need to be able to zoom out and see them all.
Hi,
I have been looking into your question and I can suggest you follow the performance optimization suggested in the following forum thread :

Let me know, if you need any further assistance on this matter.
