Hallo Infragistics Team,
The Excel file, that is created by the XamGridExcelExporter fails to open properly in Excel 2013. Excel is complaining about Errors in the Excel file.
Provided is a sample solution, which is based on this HowTo: http://help.infragistics.com/Help/Doc/Silverlight/2011.2/CLR4.0/html/xamGrid_Exporting_Data_to_Excel_Using_the_xamGrid.html
What can i do to make it work properly?
Thomas
Hello Thomas,
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you resolved your issue and I believe that other community members may benefit from this as well.
Thanks again.
Hallo, i found a workaround. Since we use german language, i explicitly had to specify the the number separator.
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("de-DE");
Thread.CurrentThread.NumberFormat.NumberDecimalSeparator = ".";
Thank you. Everything is working fine now.
Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and the sample you have provided and everything seems to work ok on my side. I run the application using VS 2012 and Excel 2013 to open the file. Could you please give us more details about your environment (OS, VS version, IE version, etc.), so we could be able to investigate this further for you?
Looking forward for your reply.
... there is also an additional issue with the Export.
when a column is sorted by the user, the method excelexporter.Export() produces an InvalidCastException - invalid conversion of "System.String" in "Infragistics.Controls.Grids.SortedColumnsCollection". see the provided Image.
Kindly regards,
