posted

Hi

In Our new AUT our development  host the WinFrom (infragistics)  in WPF outcome for it - QTP recognize all object as SwfObject

Is are any add-in that I can use so QTP will recognize the WinFrom (infragistics) object as WinFrom  ?

Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Likely the answer is yes, there is an add-in that will help. But I need to clarify some information about your AUT.
What version of QTP are you using?
In general if you have WPF involved in your AUT in any way, it is highly recommended that you use QTP 11 , although you can use QTP 10, although with QTP 10 the environment is very restricted. Either way there are a few patches required depending on what your environment is.

What NetAdvantage controls are you using in your AUT? We need to know two things, one the swftypename which can be determined via the object spy, but also the version of NetAdvantage, which you can get from your developer, or you can determine it from your application directly via the free app ProcessExplorer, or via MS VisualStudio.

If there is WPF in you AUT, you will need both the QTP .NET add-in, as well as the .NET sub add-in for WPF, you may need to rerun your QTP installer for this.

If you have NetAdvantage controls in your AUT, to properly support them you will need the corresponding TestAdvantage for the control. If you are using our Windows Forms controls, we have a version of TestAdvantage to match and fully support all released NetAdvantage controls. If you are using our NetAdvantage WPF controls, we support versions 10.3 and 11.1, and we shall be releasing support for 11.2 shortly.
