With Chrome v100 on the horizon, my skip manager is concerned about whether or not Infragistics components are going to be affected by the switchover to 3-digit version number for Chrome.
Does Infragistics use authentic feature detection, or does it determine a browser's capabilities by querying the user agent string?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,I have been looking into your question and after an investigation what I could say is that except IE, we are not taking into account the browser version in our product implementation and having this in mind I do not expect any issues with the Chrome v100 release. In addition, we are currently testing our products in order to be sure there is no issue. You could also test whether everything works as expected on your side using the exposed force-major-version-to-100 flag. More about it could be found here.Regarding your second question, I could say that where it is possible we are using feature detection, however, in some scenarios, it is necessary to use user-agent strings. However, as I previously mentioned, we do not expect any issues with Chrom v100.Let me know if I may be of any further assistance.Sincerely,Teodosia HristodorovaAssociate Software Developer
