Error 1316 When Entering My Product Key in 2008 Volume 2 for CLR 2.0
posted

Hello,

I fished my evaluation of the software and have just purchased the product. When I try and re-run the installation program to enter my Product Key the program launches, I select the CD-Key option, I enter the key in the Product Key column and click Next and then the installation program runs for about minute and I get an error. The header of the dialog reads "Installer Information" and the text of the error is as follows:

Error 1316. A network error has occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wise Installation Wizard\GLCB1.tmp

I've checked in this directory and no such file exists (and I've got my system set so Hidden and System files are visible). I've done a system wide search for this file (among regular files as well as hidden and system files) and it does not exist. I've tried deleting this folder and it gets recreated when the installation program is run but I still get the same error. I've checked the permissions on this folder and nothing is out of the ordinary. The account I'm attempting to install this product under is an Administrator.

Any ideas?
