Trying to install 8.1 on a Vista machine.

I keep erroring out on this task, The machine eventually freezes prior to the install completing.

    Are you receiving an error message, or does the machine simply become completely unresponsive?

    If the machine becomes unresponsive, you may be running out of resources, or the installer may simply be taking a long time.  You might consider running the installation overnight in this case (or even over the weekend), to see if it eventually completes.

    If you're getting an error message, then I suggest you create an installation log file, as detailed in the following article from our online Knowledge Base:
    HOWTO: Create an installation log file for NetAdvantage for .NET, NetAdvantage for WPF, or TestAdvantage installers

    The log file might tell you what's wrong directly.  If it does not, then you should submit a support request and attach your log file.  A Developer Support Engineer will use this log file to determine what is happening and how to correct the issue.
