I have the same problem in Firefox. It is most odd, it's like it's not updating the internal form variable that sends the data back to the server. It must be a bug in the script somewhere.
Having similiar problem. I have wehtml editor in content page, when I save data, the postback happens but the editor is locked with no data. if I hit refresh, the data is there....?? driving me insane!!!

I tried your code,you given the fixed text to both the Editors,try to enter the text in the run time and click the button , you can find that the text wil be lost in the Safari Browser
