All the current demos I ran from Infragistics for NetAdvantage for .NET 2007 Volume 3 DONOT work on safari. We need to support safari clients for our application. We plan to use most of the controls from the suite for our application.
Are there any workarounds to deal with this? Are there any plans for Infragistics Safari Support? Any information in this context would help!
I am using Volume 2, but nothing in AJAX works with SAFARI browser. Is there any workaround to make it work ?
Thank you!
Simon
Just to update everyone waiting on the news of this, NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2008 Vol. 2 added Safari support for the WebSchedule controls and others as described here,
The WebSchedule Controls Now Support the Safari Browser
Where is the Roadmap page for expected release dates?
The only thing I could find searching for "Roadmap" was the "bill of rights" stating it should be easy to find, which is isn't by any means.
I want to know if I should wait with upgrade of my infragistics to 2008.2 is out or I should jump on 2008.1 now.
We are working on adding Safari support to all of the controls, but as you can image its quite a bit of work to test and fix Safari compatibility issues in all of our ASP.NET controls so our current plan is to break the work up over several releases. Adding support for Safari in the WebSchedule controls is at the top of our list and you should see support added, probably by our 2008 Volume 2 release (obviously no guarentees).
I would encourage you to contact our Developer Support Team with any issue you find since, while our QA team is doing a significant amount of compatibility testing, you may be using the controls in a scenario that we have not identified. THe DS team should be able to take your bug report so we can make sure to fix the issue before we release.
