Question - Using Visual Studio 2008
posted

My apology - I posted this in the General Discussion forum... I am not sure where to post it.

I installed your NETADVANTAGE 2010.2 product on my PC to make several changes to an existing ASP.NET application.  We are replacing several AJAX Controls from the open source toolkit with the Infragistics NetAdvantage 2010.2 ASP.NET toolkit.  We are using DOT-NET 3.5 framework.

The installation of Infragistics NETAdvantage 10.2 was successful.  I then open the existing ASP.NET project in VS2008.  I add a reference for Infragistics Web 3.5 v10.2 to the project (and it shows under "References") and I add the Infragistics namespace to the ASP.NET source.  However the controls are not showing in the Visual Studio 2008 toolbox window for the designer with the other controls.  I must be missing a step.

Please help.

I received an email and was recommended this: "Use the toolbox utility to add the items to the toolbox. You can find it in your start menu under: Programs\Infragistics\NetAdvantage 2010.2\ASP.NET\Utilities\Create Toolbox Tab for CLR 3.5"

However, there is no "Utilities" folder; there is however a folder "Toolbox Utility" with an EXE within it - ToolboxUtilityCommandLine.exe.  I try launching it from within a CMD prompt window and it launches another CMD prompt window, flashes a message, and closes the CMD prompt window.  I try slowing it down and get no where.

Also, VS 2008 is now disabled; I cannot launch VS 2008.

    Please help.
