Hello,Maybe someone can help me out. We’ve decided to build a SharePoint interface to our of our services and given our past success with the Infragistics controls, we wanted to use them. Now, I’ve been building and shipping software for many years and have learned configuration problems account for the lion share of all technical support problems.That brings me to my current problem. I want to expose a nice pretty Infragistics WebGrid inside a SharePoint 2010 webpart but it appears that shipping a sharepoint package using it will would ripe for deployment problems. Changing web.config files, CAS issues, blah, blah, blah. While I can slap together a web site, the lion share of my products have been Win32 based…so I’m probably missing something simple. Anyone offering guidance?Thanks,
Hello Gene,
Thank you for submitting your inquiry to the Infragistics ASP.Net Forums. In regards to your question, please take a look at the following link to the Infragistics Online Documentation where you will find helpful information on SharePoint Support in Visual Studio:
<http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/ASPNET/Current/CLR4.0/?page=SharePoint_Support_in_VisualStudio.html>
In the above article, it explains how to add the WebUI.Shared assembly to the SafeControls section of the Web.Config file if you are using the WebGrid or any other non-Aikido control in the application.
It would be helpful if you can provide some information on how you plan to use the WebGrid. Are you using the WebGrid in a Visual WebPart? Are you using APTCA Assemblies? If so, the following link provides helpful information on using ASP.NET APTCA Assemblies:
<http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/ASPNET/Current/CLR4.0/?page=Web_ASP_NET_APTCA_Assemblies.html>
Please let me know if this inforamtion is helpful or if you have any questions.
Thank you.
