No Upgrade Utility was installed
posted

I just downloaded and installed 2011.1 to upgrade a project currently using version 2009.1.

The file I downloaded was NetAdvantage_dotNet_20111_WithSamples.zip and after unzipping I ran the file NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20111.msi.

I went to upgrade my project and found that there was no Upgrade Utility, not in the folders or on the Start menu.

Why didn't this install? How can I get it?

    Hello walterdb,

Please download the Version Utility here (NetAdvantage Version Utility).  Once you install it, it should appear in the start menu.  The Version Utility (previously "Upgrade Utility") was put into its own installer in 11.1.
