Hi.
It would be nice to know about future direction of WebDataGrid.
Like will it support editing of any kind?
Can I access cells values on client like I did in UltraWebGrid?
Will it support hierarcial/group by binding?
Thanks
Editing is definitly something you will see in a future version and I beleive you can access cells in the current version using client script, though I will have to ask the devs to verify that made it into the CTP.
The long term roadmap is to replicate features of the current grid in WebDataGrid where it makes sense. You may see us create other grid style controls that build on the behavior of WebDataGrid, but we are not quite ready to talk about that yet. What I can do is ask questions to help us guide what we build.
First question: What are the top 10 features you using in the grid?

1 - Stationary Headers.2 - Hierarchical Display.3 - Sorting on client.4 - Export to Excel.5 - Merging of cells with common data.6 - Grouping.7 - Tweaking of cell contents as row is created (color, format of contents, etc)8 - Adjustable column width and height based upon contents.9 - Editing of existing data -- occasionally allow users to add new data but that's rare.10 - WebCalcManager.
