Is there a way to add a close button on the column once it is in the group by area in order to remove it from the group by? instead of having to drag it out of the group by?

After investigating UltraWinGrid and doing some research, remove buttons on GroupByBox elements has been determined to be a product idea. You can suggest new product ideas for future versions on our ideas site.
Remember when submitting your idea to explain the context in which a feature would be used and why it is needed as well as anything that would prevent you from accomplishing this today. You can even add screenshots to build a stronger case.
