Hi,
I have a problem on the text rendering of the column header that using vertical orientation.
Attached is a screen shot. Most of the machine in our office is rending it fine, but it doesn't render correctly is one of our computer. Is this a known issue?
Thanks,
Jason
This is a new feature that was added to the grid recently. I think it was in v8.2 or so. There's a property on the Override object called ColumnHeaderTextOrientation.
It's not clear to me if this is something we have any control over or not. It'll take some in-depth research to determine - but at least you have some information that you can use (turning off ClearType) in the short-term.
I suggest that you submit a support request and include a sample that we can run and debug that reproduces the behavior. Be sure to mention in your support request that the "bad" output seems to occur when ClearType is enabled. Providing a link to this forum thread is probably a good idea as well.
A Developer Support Engineer will be able to research your sample, see if there are any ways to make the sample display properly even with ClearType enabled, and can get this to our developers for even further research if we can't find a workaround.
Hi Vince,
You are right. That computer has enable ClearType. It works after we disable it.
Is this a bug? Any workaround to render the header correctly in ClearType mode?
Regards,
Thanks for the comparison screenshot.
Do you have ClearType enabled on the computer encountering the "bold/collapsed" text and not on the other computers? Or possibly the other way around?
