Hi All,
I downloaded the latest bug fix for AppStylist (8.3.20083.2039) to correct the behave that was causing the Ribbon hiding the controls box buttons (Minimize, Maximize, Close) on Vista machines.
But the problem I’m having now is that section of the ribbon don’t show a background color on Vista, in other words always displays translucent background. In window XP the color or gradients show up just fine, but when I test on Vista is always no color.
Did anyone experience the same issue? Do you have any suggestions on how to solve it?
I thank you in advance for you help.
Regards Fausto (Graphic Designer)
I'm pretty sure that the answer to this is to set the IsGlassSupported to False
Francis,
Thanks for all your support on this, I'll submit a support request.
Fausto
Fausto,
Perhaps it would be best to submit an official support request online for this issue. You can .zip any small sample that is demonstrating the issue on your Vista machine and attach it to the case. Also, you can include the URL to this thread in the case description as background information. Here is the URL for online suppport:

Hi Francis,
Thank you for getting back to me.
The way presented in your screen capture (RibbonCationArea) is exactly the way I follow when apply a solid color or a gradient, but my result on Vista is always as a translucent ribbon.
I tried with creating new ribbons, as well some from the skins library...same results, fine on XP but not on Vista. Don't know what else to think in regard.
ThanksFausto
When I create an otherwise blank Style which defines a solid color (bright green) in the Ribbon Caption Area....
And I run a 8.3 RIbbon on a Vista machine, I am seeing the green Caption Area of the Ribbon just fine.
Perhaps I am missing some important aspect of what you're doing?
This may be something worth logging with Developer Support, but we'll need to make sure we can reproduce the issue.
