Hi,
Im having trouble finding the setting for styling the form in appstylist. With the styles that come with Appstylist, this is set somehow, I just dont know where. View the attached image for what im talking about.
Thankyou in Advanced :-)
Corey
If you use the appstylist tool to go to the ToolbarFormBorder, you can specify the color of the border and background to set everything you want.
I have tried that and it doesnt affect the area im after, i have attached another screen shot to indicate what i would like to change colour as its linked to the border colour somehow.
Now I'm really confused. :)
Your original question about the form borders makes sense, since there's no preview of this in AppStylist - I can see why this might be hard to find.
The area you are pointing to in this screen shot, though, is very easy to find. Just go to the ribbon tab in AppStylist and mouse over it and you will get the Role Tips. Press the number one on your keyboard and it will take you right to that role.
Perhaps wha tyou want is to change the Office2007 color sceheme. You do this in the "Style Library Properties" window. This window is, by default, docked on the right-hand side of the AppStylist application. It's collapsed by default, so it just shows up as a little tab in the upper-right hand corner. Here you can choose one of the standard Office2007 coor schemes - blue, black, or silver. And you can also apply a color blend to create a custom scheme.
Hi Corey,
You can't e-mail me directly. You can attach files to your post here or, if you want to send something you don't want publicly posted, you can Submit an incident to Infragistics Developer Support.
Am i able to send a private email to you with the actually colours im trying to achieve?
I'm confused. I think I have already given you two solutions. One is to use a blend color. The other is to set the colors on the individual UIRole roles.
What more are you looking for here?
I need to do what ever it takes really, i have styled the rest of the app, mind you the image I posted isnt the app colour im using as i dont want to post it publicly but i notice if you use say the blue style, that the textboxes normal state has they blue tinge to it until you roll over to give it focus then it white, these are all linked to the same colour im trying to get right.
If there is a solution to my problem regardless of how involved i would appreciate if you could guide me in the right direction.
Cheers
No, there's no other way, other than to blend with an existing color scheme. You need an existing sceheme to provide different shading, otherwise, everything would just be one solid color.
You can, of course, explicitly set the colors of each UIRole, but that's a lot more involved.
