Is the document RTF converter supposed to handle the RTF code for a NonBreakingSpace? That code is "\~". The converter emits this as tilde character in the document.

That sounds like it might be a bug, or at least an oversight. I recommend that you create a small sample project with an rtf file demonstrating this and Submit an incident to Infragistics Developer Support so we can check it out.
