I'm having an issue in VS2005, after upgrading Infragistics. I was initially on an earlier version of 2007, and upgraded to Vol 3 when this issue occurred. After trying to fix it for a while, I decided to upgrade to 2008 Vol 1, since I would need to do so anyway (and hoping that it resolved the issue). Needless to say it didnt, hence why Im here.
We have toolbars on several of our forms within the application that were appearing fine before the upgrades. Now, however, although they appear correctly in the designer, when the application is run, they arent visible (there isnt even a blank space where the toolbar should be, the fill panel has moved up to take that space).
I have tried deleting the toolbarmanager, and recreating it on one of the forms, but that failed to resolve the issue. I've also tried clearing the bin and obj folders, on the theory that it could be getting screwed up with files from the older version, but that didnt work either.
Does anyone have any suggestions (I've already checked if the tbm/toolbar is set to visible )
Unfortunately not, and the problem occurs from a different development machine too. They appear fine in the devenv, its just in the running application where they dont.
I also discovered that If I save the layout of a toolbar elsewhere (that does load in the application), and load this layout into one of these toolbars which arent appearing, the problem toolbar then loads correctly. So it must be some sort of setting. I've tried to compare the xml layouts, but I couldnt see anything that was obviously causing the issue.
If you close the form designer and reopen it after the issue occurs, do the toolbars appear again?
In either case, this sounds like a pretty serious bug and I would recommend submitting the issue to the support group: http://ko.infragistics.com/gethelp.
