Too many style sets?
posted

Hey everyone!

How many style sets is too many?  I guess I am mostly concerned about speed and memory issues.  We have a library with 3 style sets and are looking at a few more.  Are we going to see any speed issues and or memory issues as a result of adding more?

Thanks!

    Hi,

I don't think you will see any significant performance or memory issues based on the number of StyleSets. If your Style Library uses a lot of images, then this could take up a lot of memory as all those images are loaded. But other than images, very little in the isl will use up much memory.

As for performance, the number of StyleSets is not really a factor. More important is, once again, images, and transparency. But these are really specific to Style Libraries, they are just general issues in DotNet.
