WinGrid Expansion Indicators.. Conditional?
posted

Hi Guys

I have set the expansion indicators on my multi-band grid to be "CheckOnDisplay", so that only when a given row has a child band will the indicator be shown.

My question is, if there are no indicators, is there a way I can "shift" the grid to the left (back to a single-band appearance), so that there isn't a gap between the left edge of the grid and the first column?

Thanks in advance!

That "gap" is a result of the indentation of the child band, which is the user's visual cue that identifies it as a child band. Users might be confused if you make them appear as root-level bands.

Having said that, UltraGridBand does expose an Indentation property, although I doubt that there is any setting that will get the second and subsequent bands toi line up exactly with the root band.
