Version Utility in 2010.3 tries to access files it shouldn't need access to
posted

I opened up a VS 2010 solution file in the Version utility to upgrade a solution and its corresponding projects and files that had been running with the Infragistics 2009.2 libraries.

However the Version utility seems to require read/write access to files that are included in the file folder hierarchy including backup files which are not referenced, either directly or indirectly via the solution file I have selected to be upgraded. It would appear based on the files that are being referenced by the utility that it will be upgrading a lot more files and projects than what I need or want it to.

Is there any way the behavior of the Version utility can be modified to only access projects and files that are directly referenced via the specified solution file?
