Problem installing Winforms Service Release 2010.3

When attempting to install the Service Release i just downloaded for Winforms 2010.3  (File name NetAdvantage_WinForms_20103.2094_SR.msp) the installer pops up a box indicating that the minimum .Net Framework version is 2.0.50727 or later.  I'm running 4.0, but also have 3.5 and 2.0 installed.

Help.

    Hello John,

    I am confused here. So you are able to download and install the RTM version of the Controls freely, and when you attempt to install the service release you are getting this message? Something have to be changed in your environment between both installations because I am not seeing any other way  of such thing to happen.

    Could please try to delete the service release, restart your machine, log as an admin, than download and try to install the fresh service release again?

    Please let me know if the above doesn't help so I will look for something else that could cause such behavior.
