Hi,
After migration from v9.2 to v11.1, development team is not able to view controls in Form Designer where all controls are working as expected in runtime.
Most of the errors in designer are 'control is not defined or not initialed'
Please help us to come out of this
Hello okiegreg,
The name of the assemblies is correct. All of the Infragistics assemblies should be installed in the GAC. I have verified that the NetAdvantage 2011 vol1 asseblies are installed as well on the GAC when they are installed under Win 7 64bit OS.
In order to verify the contents of your GAC you could do the following:
Start Button - Run - Assembly
If there are no Infragistics assemblies I would like to ask you to download again the installer from our site and re-run it in order to fix this issue.
When you are installing the components you would have to be with the Admin account on the desired machine.
Please feel free to let me know if there is anything else that you would like to ask regarding this matter.
I was able to find the dll on my machine. It was not in the GAC. I GAC'd it with gacutil and it still did not work. Also, I am unable to locate any other infragistics dll's in the GAC, only in the install dir. Can you secify where in the GAC they would be expected on win7 64 bit OS?
I do not have this dll (I assume Infragistics2.Win.v11.1.Design.dll since I am trying to run on 11.1). A search of my computer also yields no dll under that name. Is there a different name?
Could you please verify that your Infragistics2.Win.vXX.X.Design.dll exists in your GAC, and also that you are not referencing it directly in your project?
Also could you please try referencing your assemblies directly from the GAC of your machine instead pointing to a specific location.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Any resolution to this? We are facing the same issue. .licx file references are correct (have cleared the contents and retried several times). "Specific version" is set to false. References are pointing to the IG install location (and location was updated by the version upgrade tool).
Please advise.
