Hi all,
some weeks I've already written a post concerning a problem which I've examined much more intensive in the meantime coming to some results and probably more interesting to the Infragistics guys - with a demo application illustrating the problems.
If you run this Demo under Windows XP it shows very weird paint problems that are real showstoppers. Under Windows 7 it's much more better but it takes relatively long during initial painting until the GUI is finally drawn. It seems to me that it takes a lot of iterations until it is finished. What I've found out throughout my investigations is that it has something to do with the view style of the Ultra Tab Control. If it is set to 'Default' the painting is fine both under XP and W7, with all other settings it doesn't work.
Another problem with this application I can only examine under Windows 7. If I resize the application by dragging lower right corner the UltraGrid on the lower right side is not resizing correctly although it's Dock Property is set to fill. What I've found out is that this has something to do with the fact that there is a panel below the split container. After removing that panel this problem didn't happen. This happens both with the UltraPanel as with the panel from Microsoft.
Would be great if you guys could solve those issues :-)
Regards, Wolfgang
Hello Wolfgang,
Could you describe in more detail the first issue? I ran the sample on both Windows XP and Windows 7, and I couldn't see any paint problems.
I did reproduce the second issue you described.
